Puerto Vallarta  –  Arrival  –   December 5th, 2013

We had one of those perfect passages you read about.  Flat calm waters all the way across the Sea of Cortez. Crystal clear azure water, and dolphins!

Not too far out of La Paz, Julie landed at 28lb Dorado.  Go Julie!!

The next few photos are all about dolphins, sunsets & sunrises.  During this passage,  we all felt blessed. Sometimes we get lucky, and have moments where we feel ‘connected’ with the universe.  This happened to me during this passage, and it was awesome.

After a few days at La Cruz, we motored over to Paradise Village Marina, just a few miles away.  This is one of the better known marina’s in Puerto Vallarta, where we’ll set up shop for a while.  This will be our first long-term stay.  Were looking forward to enjoying all that PV has to offer.  The next few photos are of Infinity arriving at PVM.

One weekend, we took some time out to clean up INFINITY, and needed to move her out of the slip to get access to both sides, etc.  The next few photos were taken by Chloe when Julie and I were moving her back into her slip.

Restaurant Recommendation:                    IMG_0611

Heres the place we love, its just a space between two buildings with a corrugated roof and excellent food!  It’s only been open for about 8 months now, by a lovely young couple “Lois and Natalie”.   Lois is a very creative and talented chef and on Friday nights there are mexican singers.

  1. Merry Christmas All You Nemiers !

No snow for you this Christmas, eh !

    Love from all the Clarkies.

    xxxxxx

  2. Thanks for the update, I know it takes a lot of time and patience to do it. Especially love the familly pics, makes it all worth while. Brings back memories of back in 1978 when I took my Moody 30′ sailboat from Anapolis MD to Tarpon Springs Fl with only a crew for 10 days and the rest of the time with my 25 lb Cocker Spaniel “PJ”. She used to love getting on top of the closed hatch under the dodger, warm spot, and kept me safe from all the Pelicans. Otherwise she would be curled up under blankets in the cabin where she could see me in the cockpit driving. Trip was made in December. Thanks again, loved the pictures and narative. Safe travels.

  3. Hi Scott ! Thanks for the reply. I can picture your trip vividly in my mind. Having a dog along for the ride sure makes it that much better. I like to see the website coming alive, (and hope to learn more about it as I go), so yes the pictures and narrative will keep coming : )

  4. Andy and Julie (and Harley, too!)…

I can’t thank you enough for making the time to share your journey! As a “Dreamer,” it fills my soul with images and words to keep me focused, inspired, and working towards living my dream of returning to the water. I LOVE the photos and videos, especially the “Before & After” shots, Harley’s life aboard, and the dolphins “flying” off the bow. Big {{{hug}}} to you all!

  5. Thanks Patty, for such a heartfelt reply. : ) We were Dreamers too, not too long ago. I say my prayers every night, giving thanks for the opportunity to care for this boat, this new lifestyle it provides. I consider it an honour to be able to show the photos, so thanks for the encouragement, we appreciate it!

  6. Hey Guys, looks great, that clear blue water, my God, why can’t they find oil there?!?!

  7. Okay, I’m envious and it is great to be able to share a little in your adventures and see the dolphins. That was amazing! Julie, you missed girl’s night last night but we were talking about your adventure (were your ears burning:). I am sharing your website info with a few of the moms. So glad you are having a great time. We are planning a trip to San Jose del Cabo for March break so we will have a chance to get some sun. Best wishes, Jude and John
